My dad says I'll have to find a 'not rediculous' way to integrate them into my flock of chickens and Muscovies but I'm getting two Calls in the next few weeks! I was thinking a pair but now I'm afraid that a drake, since I've never had one before, might lash out at my chickens. So now maybe just two girls.

I had the choice of either Whites, Butterscotch, or Black Bibbed. With my luck, whites would stain, the Butters are light enough to stain, but the Bibbed are SO CUTE! The bibbed just started to get their feathers and I'm afraid if I pick 'em out straight run, I'll get boys. So now I have to wait. I don't think I'm able to reserve girls, but they are really close, though. And apparently she sells show quality. Not that I care or anything; I'm not buying for show. I just want Calls.

But nice looking calls. She shows them herself.

But I have a problem.

How do some people do this? I'm at my wits end here! The cuteness!!! I'm thinking to just snag the Butterscotch and run. They're adults already.

Celebrate with me! And please, if you have pics of your Calls, don't be afraid to post them. It makes the waiting easier.

I think seeing pics make the wait harder. I have 3 call ducks (gray) and they are the sweetest little things. I love them to death. They peck at the back door and want in and they come in the house and play in the den with my pet quail. Then when they get hungry or thirsty to go back to the door and ask back out. They are so much fun. They are only 5 weeks old and I haven't figured out when or even if I will integrate them in with the muscovies and khaki yet. They may get their own living quarters due to their tiny size. You will really enjoy them. Best of luck to you and your new babies.

My babies at 3 weeks swimming in the kitchen sink.

I've got six white call duck eggs sitting under a bantam cochin hen. They are due to hatch this thursday (7/16). I can't wait. I've candled the, and they are all developing properly. I also heard movement in one of them. They will be my first call ducks.

Congratulations! If you don't mind me asking, where/who are you getting them from? Since we are in the same county its always good to know of people, places in the area. My daughter said she likes them a lot. So it would be good to know for the future. She fell in love with them when she saw pictures on here and thinks they are so cute!

Scott, good luck! Post pictures when they hatch!

AmyJ, the breeder lives somewhere in Slate Hill. I'm not too sure where. Oddly enough, I tried to call them tonight and they weren't home. Or didn't pick up. I'd like to snag 2 females within the next week. I've also fallen in love with them. I'll call her again tomorrow and give you her number after I call. I saw some of her females at the Orange County Fair. They were beautiful.
