when you have an itch, scratch it! just get some and it'll be like calamine lotion on poison oak.

i have 7 little cuties right now that just make me smile...and guess what? i have not had any itching since they arrived...coincidence? i think not...

If you have chick itch it won't be long before you get a really bad case of hatching fever.

LOL I think you're right.. I'm gonna start looking.. I wish I could go to the feed store and pick up 4 ameracauna's like debiraymond did, she's so lucky.

If you leave an egg at this time of year in the brooder box will they hatch and if they do would the chicks live over the winter outside with the other chickens?

An egg will not hatch in a brooder box. You need an incubator, either manual or a broody hen. They will need heat for nearly 12weeks at this time of year. Chicks that gt chilled will sicken and die very quickly.

she's not making that up. it's a medical/psychological fact.

my bator comes this week...and so do enough eggs to fill it.
