im gettting some baby call ducklings on 6/29/09

im getting three or four baby call ducklings on monday.
im so excited i can barely contain myself.
i have raisied ducks before but got rid of them because i didnt know what to do with them in the winter.
so right now im hoping i can keep them this winter.

if anyone has any info on raising call ducks in the winter or just raising them in general let me know.

not sure if there any different from raising/keeping other ducks but im asking anyway.

CONGRATS!! I have four healthy 2 week-old baby Call ducks right now and they're amazing little guys to have around! =] Good luck with them and be sure to post pictures!

I have 3 call ducks and I love them dearly. They are so sweet and they stand at the back door begging to come into the house. I let them in and they play in the dog's water bowl and come into the den and lay in the dog's bed. They are so cute and funny. Mine are 6 weeks and almost fully grown and I'm so glad I got them

i hope so to. how exactually do you tame an untame duck.
this ad has been in the paper for a while now, so im guessing there not exactually babies.
when i had ducks before they where days old and they imprinted on me and then i started to chase the males off the females because they where ripping out their feathers then they got scared.
im hoping to get 1 male and 3 females.
but i dont know if they will quack for me when im there so i dont know.

We have cold winters here and they do just fine. They have dog houses for a shelter, but they very rarely go in them....even in the midst of a blizzard.

oh. i have heard from some places that ducks are a pretty hardy type of bird.
