I'm new to BYC and chicken keeping. My husband and I live just outside of Elizabethtown in south central PA. Anyone around here??

What kinds of chickens do you have and how many?

Hi! I will check out the PA message thread, thank you. I currently have 6 chickens. A Welsummer cockerel and hen and an Australorpe hen. Two other hens, but not sure what breed, and one young cockerel. The young cockerel was supposed to be a hen! Waiting to see whether or not the two cockerels are going to get along. Probably will look to rehome the older cockerel who is a bit aggressive. Also planning to get a few more hens in the spring.

You must have a large flock!
