I'm In Lockdown!

Today is day 19 for me... not so much as a wiggle

the wait is the hardest part! Not to mention I'm driving my family bonkers.....

yeah three out!! one of them is one of the silkies!! I keep checking the window for me. LOL gonna be a long nite...

LOCKDOWN yesterday evening. 7 Polish/silkie mutts. I candled before I placed them for lockdown and had 3 that had internally pipped. Today there are 4 pips in the shell. I expect an arrival by tomorrow afternoon. There will be pictures!

Sweet! I did NOT candle before lockdown, and I am wishing I had... because the wait is unbearable!!!!!

Grrr. Well so far 11 have hatched, 3 died and it looks like the others wont hatch. But 8 live isnt too bad!

I was expecting Polish/silkie mixes from this hatch.....BUT I think someone else was laying in the wrong coop. Only 2 of these 4 have 5 toes and dark skin. One gray one and one black one have 4 toes. One black one looks to be a Barred Rock girl. I have a Barred Rock roo who has 2 dominique and Jersey giant hen in a separate coop but they do all free range together. I know I saw my frizzle mutt on that nest, so at least one of these is her but then again she's the only one with a bare spot on her back. These babies were due on Saturday and hatched around 2 am early this morning. There are 3 more eggs in the bator, one has a pip.
