I'm in the first egg club...

I got my first egg last night!!!!!! It is super-amazing. I think Leona, my Ancona, laid it. She seems like the most mature. I think it is white, and she is a white egg layer. My California White and my Red Leghorn are also looking pretty mature (red combs flopping over).

Hurray!!!!!!!!!

This is like, the most exciting day of my life.

Congrats on your first egg!

I can't wait for mine to lay! Every night my son (who is not thrilled about the "girls" as me and my daughter are) says...so...no eggs yet huh?

My girls (leghorns) are about 21 weeks old now. When their combs and waddles turned red, I told them..anyday now! Now they are squatting down when we go to pet them...so I am saying..anyday now!
