Hello all,

So happy to be here and very thankful that this site exists for new chicken enthusiasts such as myself. I am a metalsmith living in rural NC with my dog, son, mister, cat, fish... and twenty five chickens of varying breeds. Every day is an adventure!

Welcome to BYC, Jess. Glad you decided to join our flock. Raising chickens is a wonderful experience for children. My children and granddaughter (pictured in my avatar) loved our chickens and made lap pets out of the calmer and more gentle breeds. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
