I'm Just So Excited...and I Just Can't Hide It!!!!

Thought it was the best directed so far!
Missed a few things but followed the book very closely and didn't drag at all, which it easily could have at several points but they succeeded at keeping it flowing.
One more to go I hope they do as good on the last one!!! There is SO MUCH in the last one they could screw up badly.

Well....

It was a huge disappointment. I actually wanted my money back...

This book is more grown up, and I suppose I expected the directing to follow the general atmosphere that the book gave. No such doing. It was definitely "dumbed down" for the kids in the audience and not where the book was in intelligence level nor content.

Some things are going to be VERY difficult to explain in the next movie since they left complete parts out (which are CRUCIAL in the last book) and somehow created an entire part???

Just a huge depressing piece of work...shame...

We were going to see it at the theatre across the street here in Keokuk... glad we didn't waste our time or money.

I'm with you there, redhen. I've never seen something that resulted in me thinking, "Whoa! The movie was so much better than the book!"

Wait for someone to steal it and put it online...SERIOUSLY. I won't even bother buying the DVD when it comes out.

I love Harry Potter books. I like Harry Potter movies. That's the difference, but the kids and I enjoy watching them together. If they tried to put everything from the book in the movie, they would have to do a mini-series. I would actually prefer that, that's what they have done with a few Stephen King books and it usually turns out very well. Anyone else see The Stand? that one was really well done, I would say as good as the book for once.

The movie Original Sin with Angelina Jolie and Antonio Banderez (spelling ?) was better than the book it was based on. The book was called "Waltz into Darkness" and was written in the 1920's. This is the ONLY case I have ever come across that hte movie was better. I guess our imaginations are way better thatn any movie.
