Hello,
I live in the USA and have had poultry for all my life. Right now I have four toulouse geese, one call duck, two guineas, and a whole bunch of chickens. I have an australorp, a swedish flower hen, a new hampshire, a silkie, an americauna, an olive egger, four sultans, a marans, a rhode island red, two isa reds, an ayam cemani, ten d'uccles, seven bantam cochins, and a whole bunch of mixed breed experiments. I love to breed my chickens to look for better quality as well as breeding for my own amusement to see what comes from different chickens.
Other than poultry, I also have a small flock of border leicesters, a beta fish (Bloodterror the Red Dragon Fish of Fury), a tarantula (Rosalina Eclipso), and four cats (Sebastian, Ignotus, Anders, and Winchester). I like to read, write, knit, draw, and think.
I remember first hearing about backyard chickens when I was researching about self blue cochins. Later, when I couldn't find anything about ducks not laying for over a year, I became a member to ask the community, who graciously answered.
