Hi, My names Jacqueline and I am a chicken lover!
I'm new to the farm life, but I am absolutely LOVING it! With my husband, we've gotten 13 Silver-Laced Wyandotte's, 5 Buff Brahma Standards, 2 Blue Cochins, 1 Splash Cochin, 1 Cuckoo Maran, 2 Pekin Ducks, and 2 Khaki Campbell Ducks........!
I know! That sounds like a lot, but there isn't something that I can't handle. I love waking up in the morning, going out to the Coop (that my husband built from scratch) and tend to my wonderful chickens. I know that within this year, they will be giving me eggs that will in return, support my family.
And isn't that a great thing to teach a child! How to nurture something that will provide us with a self sufficient lifestyle. I can't get enough of this....
In the coming days, I'll start introducing my FLOCK to everyone and ask about experiences that I can learn from. Thanks!
