That's one of my questions! We have always treated Derrick like a drake. The feed store where he was purchased couldn't tell us if he was male or female. We were told Derrick was most likely male. He's right around 12 weeks old but hasn't developed the curly drake feather yet. Do you think I have a female???

He/she is an only duck. We're not exactly sure of gender yet. That's why I decided to join BYC.

ok, I don't know if you know this, but you'll probably have to get him a friend. Ducks are flock birds, and usually don't do well on their own.
