I have been coming to this site for information for sometime now. I love it! Looking forward to being a member! I have 46 adult chickens, 8 which are Roos. Barred Rock, EE, RI Red, Cochins(gold laced,Splash, black), & a few mixed. I've just got back into keeping chicken since this last fall. I haven't had any for about 20 years.

Welcome Aboard Mugsy! I have 15 assorted layer chicks about 6 weeks old. This is my second flock. Firs was many years ago. I stupidly did not know how to care for them and they all died, so I vowed not to repeat that again. I devoured everything on this and several other sites trying to educate myself for months before I got my chicks. They are so interesting and provide me hours of entertainment. Glad you could join us!

Thanks! I have 4 broody hens setting on eggs right now. 1 is actually hatching as we speak! The others I set eggs under last night. I'm hatching for some friends. Hope to find a lot of tips on here!
