Hello everyone! This is my Bard Rock Chick named Marla, she's a sweetheart and I've had her since she was 1 week old! She's gotten a bit skittish and always tries to run away from me! :( when I pick her up, she only struggles a little. After a few minutes, she's relaxed and falling asleep on my lap :)

Chicks do need a lot of attention and just like children they
have different fazes in life from needing to roost on your shoulders
when you go out to sit on the porch and a month or two later
running from you as a game to get you to chase them ....

Enjoy all of your poultry ventures

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

She is adorable! It is normal for them to be skittish at this age. Just keep working with her and she will calm down as she ages to be a sweet hen.

Enjoy your cutie pie and welcome to our flock!
