Hey. My name is Amy. I just received my first batch of chicks via mail today. I ordered 4 black sex links, 3 red sex links, 3 buff orpingtons, 4 speckled sussex, and 1 red sex link rooster. What I received was 5 black sex links, 4 red sex links, 4 buff orpingtons, and 4 speckled sussex, and the red sex link rooster.
I am looking forward to watching them grow up and see their little personalities show. I am excited to teach my boys about chickens and letting the hens brood a few clutches.
I have a lot of hobbies and basically enjoy how to make everything from scratch. Food, clothes, jewelry, etc. I also love photography, drawing, and music.
I'm a stay at home mom. We have 2 boys, 2 and 1. We plan to homeschool. We have 2 indoor cats. My fiancé works for the city. We are getting married in October. This is our do over in life. First marriages were a bust but I have 3 grown children and he has 2 grown daughters. We have 3 grandchildren with one on the way. Decided to do everything we were denied and it has been a beautiful adventure.
When I was studying about chickens to get ready for them, I would google questions. A lot of my questions were answered here so, I figured, now that my chicks are here, I should join. Maybe I can help someone or someone can help me if I have a question.
