I'm new-ish here...

I don't like social media, I'm probably an introvert, and I don't have a lot of time to spend on a computer doing research. So, I joined to expedite my search for reliable information. I've referenced this site multiple times since our first flock in 2012, and now I need to dig deeper to achieve my goals. I'm working on Sustainable Permaculture and mostly follow Joel Salatin and Justin Rhodes.

You haven't stated any particular problem, but there is a huge amount of information posted here. I really like the articles, but they are a bit harder to get at than the posts that are sort of chats. Often there is great info in those chat posts, but I find it easier to get a focused discussion of an issue with articles.

Here is a very helpful one: BYC Lists of Chicken Ailments and Cures

To look for articles on your own:

A. Use the SEARCH button, but use the Advanced Search choice, and select ARTICLES at the top of the box. Just enter your keyword(s) and scroll through your results!

B. I find it helpful to notice the rating and reviews. All articles are by BYC members, and all the reviews/ratings are as well. The ratings help a newbie like me sort the most useful and reliable articles.

C. You can bookmark the articles or posts you think you want to refer to again using that bookmark icon at the top of articles or posts. You can find them again by clicking on your own avatar and looking at the list of bookmarks you have built up!
