Morning Everyone ! Most peeps call me cuzzin phatty but im really not fat anymore. Had bypass surgery and lost 160 pounds so far yeah meee ! Gotta lose a bit more but not much. Anyways , ive had chickens for years but stopped a while do to many predators in the area. Myself and others put a big dent in the predators and i've spent a lotta time and money securing the area i keep my chickens now. I got a great deal on some cochin bantam chicks and have them in my brooder now. Im planning on sticking with the bantams for a while , grandkids just love the little boogers !

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. Congratulations on the weight loss! That's quite an accomplishment.) Raising chickens is a wonderful experience for children. If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is lots of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

Glad you joined us at Backyard chickens. Cochins are generally very docile birds.
