Hi Folks,

After 5 long months of convincing my husband to allow me and my little girls to keep x3 chickens he has finally cracked. I have been reading just about everything I can get my hands on. I am after x3 Standard Buff Orpington chicks. I live in the North East, does anyone have any suggestions of reputable breeders/suppliers? Also which wholesaler is the best to use? I have just purchased my coop today but need to buy everything else. I would be grateful for any or all help. Donna x

Hi,

You may want to check out this thread and ask your question there : https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/849075/heritage-large-fowl-phase-ii/6080

Also, if you haven't already joined your state thread in the 'Where Am I, Where are you section" - that is a good place to seek out local breeders. Orpingtons are a wonderful breed - I would suggest trying to find a reputable breeder is you can. Alot of the hatchery Orps tend to have reproductive health issues. Good luck and
