I have had chickens for three years now. At present I have 8 hens. A white rock, Amber Link, Ameraucana, Midnight Majesty, Sapphire Gem, Copper Maran, Prairie Bluebell Egger, Salmon Faverolle. I also have for the first time ducks. A Buff and a Black Cayuga. I love all my girls. It's been quite the learning experience with the Ducks (Ginger and Maryanne). I'm also starting to take an interest in the wild plants on our property. It's been fun learning the names of plants and what is and isn't edible. It's surprising how many plants are edible. We also have Koi we feed, a couple hundred hummingbirds (in summer) and a sweet schnauzer. I love to quilt and make jams and jellies. Thanks for having me here!!!

Welcome! Sounds like you have a busy and full life. :) I just joined a couple of months ago and have been truly impressed by this community. You will be happy you joined. What kind of jams do you make? How long have you been quilting and what kind of quilts? I have five 4 week old chicks in our brooder (my first chickens ever). I look forward to you sharing your wisdom and experience. So glad you joined!
