Hello! My name is Jennifer. I live in Northwest IN with my husband, 2 year old son, Rottweiler and Rex rabbit. We live on 7 acres. I had 2 horses, but had to put them down in March due to old age issues. I am staying out of horses for a while. I'm a stay-at-home-mom and since we're a one-income family, on a budget. We are leaving the pasture fencing up and trying to re-establish a good grass stand in the back 3 acres. The front part (was used as a sacrifice area, water collects in a small section) is going to be my new garden.

I've been trying to convince my husband that we need a few chickens. I boarded at a place that had chickens and there's nothing like farm fresh eggs

However, he has tried some and claims he can't tell a difference. I tell him it's because he smokes like a chimney and doesn't have any taste buds left!

I can't BELIEVE he can't tell the difference...I can barely eat store bought now! Hope you are able to win him over!

Hello there and welcome! I agree, his smoking is clouding his taste buds! LOL

Um....what's this about a sacrifice area?

Anyhow, welcome to BYC and I agree, you should have chickens.....as long as you don't sacrifice them......LOL...It's Ok as long as you eat them for dinner though.......
