My mom and I got the chicks from Tractor and Supply (the ones that were in the brooder they had were Sapphire Gems, Cinnamon Queens and Rhode Island Reds)

We got two Sapphires, and we were supposed to get one Red and one Cinnamon, so I showed my friend them who knows chickens better (my mom and I just got into chicken stuff), and he said he didn’t know what one of them was. (He went to school to be a chicken vet and definitely knows a LOT more than I do)

I was just wondering what one of them is? Are they both Cinnamon Queens? The employee who gave us them seemed rush when he gave them us, so not sure if he gave us the right ones. It’s not a big deal though, just curious!

The first one is the supposed Cinnamon Queen? I think? Sorry for the bad quality picture, it looked okay when I took it

This one my friend isn't sure what it is because he says it looks like a Rhode Island Red, but he hasn't seen one that has white wings like this?

It may be too early to tell, but Cinnamon Queens should have rose combs since they are a cross between a red male and silver laced Wyandotte female, and the genes for rose combs are usually dominant.

They could also just be production Rhode Island reds or some type of hatchery hybrid. Time will tell.

Oooh okay, that’s good to know! Thank you! I’ll be sure to share them again when they’re a bit older (if I still can’t tell haha)
