Hi Everyone,

My name is Nita - I am so not a social media person but I will give this a try - I live in in southern MN - we both have older children - mine is in Maine for college so I enjoy traveling to see her periodically - he has kids/grandkids that he enjoys spending time with nearby - Last summer we decided to try raising Ringneck pheasants (23) to release in WMA to reestablish the pheasant population and we also have a pair of Red Golden Pheasants. We have so enjoyed watching grow into mature birds - he had a friend that we bought an incubator from so we are now trying our hand at hatching some chicks - having a lot of fun - a bonus is they are pretty low key for maintenance as I live here but travel for my job and he lives over an hour away so he comes over when he can. We also like to kayak - always looking for new places to explore so we appreciate any ideas from people - hunting pheasants - we find remodeling/improvement projects fun - I found BYC on google as we have lots of questions being newbies to the world of birds. Hey Tonya! Thank you for the welcome! Looking forward to meeting some new people and reading their stories! I am terrible about pics - ask my daughter - she wasn't sure if there would be any pics for her high school graduation boards for her party - we did find some though lol! I will try to work on some pics
