We're below the Mason Dixon line but the whole state is awash in carpetbaggers and damn Yankees since the 80's and it's unlivable now. I went back to Fredericksburg for a visit recently and it's some of the worst traffic I've ever seen.

As far as the aging goes, I always blamed cheap beer and Old Bay seasoning.

I used to live in Virginia too, nasty place. I would love to live somewhere where it's cooler but still humid, and I'd like to see a light snow more often, but besides that I love my home state.

All depends on who you ask. Most people from SC on south don’t consider Virginia or NC to be part of the south anymore.
