Im not sure if this belongs here. But do chickens combs grow back???

Its been kinda cold here latley and some of my hens have frostbite on their combs. I know if you put petrulem jelly on their combs than they dont get frostbite but i didnt have time to this year. Thanks for any advice!!!

Mine have gotten speckled a few times, and the tips of the combs sometimes get white, but they do heal up.

I suppose it is like most hurts, the deeper the injury, the more of a scar. mk

If parts are missing due to frostbite, no they will not grow back.

How can you tell a frostbitten comb from the comb of a hen who is not currently laying?

Their comb will have black or whitish tips and no they don't grow back. You can put the vaseoline on at any time it will help it heal better too, brings the blood to surface.
