I'm not sure what breed of rooster this is

My neighbors two doors down decided to get a rooster, but they only got a rooster. They don't have any other birds, so naturally he found himself hopping my fence until he just never left. He mates with my girls, and he is very nice, hardly ever crows too which is a plus. I'm just not sure what breed he is, or if he is a mix, what he may be mixed with. Nobody I know, who knows a lot about chickens, and I myself are completely stumped as to what he may be. Does anyone here know what he is, or is mixed with?

He is definitely pretty, I can see game fowl being in him. I have a girl sitting on a nest, I've never had a roo to let them sit before. Not sure how it is going to go, but it should be any day now if they are going to hatch. I was just curious as to what he may be, being that he's the dad

I believe they're very rare. From my understanding they're a line of American Gamefowl. You're very lucky to have him

I'm glad he doesn't crow much. The reason I stopped getting roos is because my neighbor between the two of us has killed two of mine in the past, and I didn't want him doing that again. I had a silver phoenix and a gold laced polish, and they would compete with each other all day on who could crow the loudest. After he killed them I didn't want to take the chance again. The neighbors on the other side really dislike him for a million reasons, but they were talking about getting goats in order to annoy him. I really believe they bought a rooster just to annoy him, and when he started hopping the fence I was really worried that the other guy would think he was ours, and kill him like he did the others. But it has been a month, and so far nothing has happened, probably because he hardly crows. I think we are safe from him, lets just hope we are though because he is really a sweet boy

I really hope all goes well! I'm sorry about your other boys :( For all roosters to just show up though, he is certainly a special one!

Oh wow he is beautiful!! That is a pumpkin hulsey as @Rhodebar Lover said and they are one of my favorite types of birds!!! They are expensive and can be rare so you are extremely lucky to have him.
