I'm pretty sure my hen has sour crop, need advice

So sorry, but it doesn't sound good. FYI, sick bird needs to be kept in a warm place (80° to 85°) and if not eating and drinking they need to be tube fed water 30ml/kg every 6-8 hours (30ml per 2.2 pounds). If their crop clears, once they are properly hydrated they need to be tube fed baby bird food at least twice a day at about 30ml/kg.

I've had a rooster sick for 3 weeks. He has green poop. Lost a lot of weight. I mean...a lot. He is all bone now. I feed him mashed egg with a syringe without a needle 3x per day. He is so weak he can't stand up so I exercise his legs and feet for him. And have a pillow so he can prop his head. I have treated him with antibiotics. No improvement. I've treated him for worms. No improvement and I've treated him with corid. And no improvement. At all. None. He is breathing heavy like gasping. He refuses water and eveything else hence the syringe feeding. His crop is nowhere to be found. I know it's there obviously I've had chickens for a long time but it doesn't get full enough to really stand out. It doesn't feel like a balloon it just feels like nothing's there at all. :( I need some advice fast because I am going to send my baby to rooster heaven soon because this just seems like its not gettin better. I can't deal with him suffering anymore. I need to know if there's anything else I can do or if it even sounds like sour crop. He has no smell coming from his beak area. Yesterday it smelled a little "sweet" but he ate some apple baby food. I really hope someone here can help. :hit and his face isn't red anymore. It white. Like a tan color. He just sits there all puffed up. I'm crying just thinking about him

Hi there! I totally feel your pain, is he eating anything?. I just lost my six month old rooster this morning to the same problem. It's been a tough day. I can't stop crying.

He was suffering for a week. He could barely walk he lost his balance. It's really sad when u bond with them and this happens. So I understand what your going through and I hope he can get better. How old is your little guy?

if u need to talk I'm here

He's in a better place. DH dug his grave and then I have him some water and then I felt a rock. He drank the water by himself! So I knew something was in his belly that shouldn't have been. So I gave him some oil and massaged him and he threw up but not whatever that thing was. Then he had a bad seizure. And then I decide it was time and DH shot him an now I feel guilty because e spend his last few minutes enjoying water and I made him throw it up. And e had tht seizure and now I feel so bad and I can't stop crying. I feel like it's my fault. :(

It was not your fault, I can guarantee that. I honestly think that the dying process had already started and the seizures and vomiting were just part death, you did not cause it. He had been sick for a very long time and you did the best you could.

Try separating her from the rest of the flock. Make sure she is hydrated and give her some treats. I usually give my hens mealworms, bread, and macaroni.make sure she is eating. I apologize I am no expert put this might help.
