I think one of my chicks (a barred rock) is a rooster. She has some dark on the front of her legs, but just a little...she also has a very irregular spot on her head and her comb is coming in with a little red at the very tip. She's only 2 weeks old and I don't have another barred rock to compare the darkness of her feathers to. Any ideas? I'm leaning toward rooster.

Do you have a better pic of the chicks comb? An early pinking of the comb is one sign of a roo. Coloring can be more tricky. Is this a hatchery chick? One of my BRs was very silvery with a lot of light barring, but it turned out to be a pullet, so darkness of coloring can be deceptive. Her spot was also very irregular in comparison to the others.
