hmm that is a great idea. as most everyone else said, our bags are paper....but I might post an ad on Craigslist to see if I can find some mesh ones....

Then the sewing, that's another thing altogether! It might take me awhile to figure out how to use my sewing machine! haha

I've already sold the first one! I WILL be making more - I have another bag of feed that needs to be emptied - it has a different design on the front - it has green, then a outline of a windmill! Ought to be a cool one.

I totally encourge anyone to try it. its pretty fun, I've never really been taught to sew, my ex roommate left her sewing machine @ my house & I've always wanted to try it. So I did - let me tell ya that whole bobbin thing had me ticked off for a couple hours!! yes I did download the instruction off the web!! haha I finally got it figured out & have been trying to 'make' things since. I'm always winging it, I've just discovered that they do make 'patterns'!! haha ( although I vaguely remember my nanny sewing me outfits with patterns.

give it a try!! I enjoy it - I just like to 'make' stuff..........

our feeds also come in paper we have used them as weed block under the gravel we just placed in front of our newly buildt greenhouse.. I've used them to under mulch in flower beds too.
I'm checking to see if I can get my hands on another soybean seed bag, those things are huge ...

I get mesh bags and been using them for garbage bags.

Those were from Rural King, yellow and red bags.

I dont sew either! I know I will be getting some empty ones in a week so I would be happy to give them to someone who would make those bags!
