I'm scared

Does the coop have ways for a skunk to get in? If so, then you need to make changes.
I don't think so but I'm scared. I haven't gone down to let them out yet (they have a coop, secure run that's predator proof, and extended run that's not really that they only have access to during the day. I let them into the extended run every morning) because it's still pretty dark out. All the doors have locks like this:

(not my pic) The secure run is fully encased in hardware cloth, including the ground (don't worry I have bedding over the wire) There is piece of plywood covered in plastic sheeting that is acting as a roof over the run.

Wow, I didn't know that!
I've been up for only ten minutes, and yet I know something completely new! You learn something every day.
That's what google says, at least. We'd rather not have to give the cat more baths and panic about the chickens on a regular basis, so well the cat was being bathed I was googling how to keep skunks away.

Thank goodness they're ok.
We have a chicken BUNKER, basically, for our six newly laying girls, but every time there's a raccoon around I think I might die.
So I definitely feel for you.
What breed(s) are they?
Mine are two EEs, two Dominiques, a Speckled Sussex, and a BO.
