I'm scared!!!

As mine got a bit bigger, and mamma let them wander farther away, they did get a few pecks from the other hens, they quickly learned to get out of reach. But while the older hens were not afraid to give them a rap, they did not chase them, or corner them and try and kill them like other intragation issues I have read on here. The chicks stayed grouped together, until, they were full size, and now, they are just part of the flock.

However, the Roo, who was raised by his adoptive mother, did get a rather sharp peck today? I know he is breeding her, so don't know quite what went wrong, but he did back down. He is still a bit young yet, 7 months.
