Aw, anything bigger than them will do! You could seperate the duck and give it a cuddly toy to snuggle under? And a small mirror stuck to the side will trick it into thinking it has company too.
These are all eggs from my own hens, so we will have to wait and see how fertile they are. I know my pekin/hamburg roo is doing his job, but how many hens are letting him I don't know. And I have never seen the dutch one, Notty, at his job at all. We will see in a week. I am determined NOT to candle until day 7 this time, but I always end up with my torch in hand by day 5!!! I AM going to wait this time. My husband is going to go bananas, he honestly though he was done losing the dining table to chick brooders for this year!!!!
