I'M SO EXCITED!

Was going to wait till I had time to figure out the pages, but I'm just thrilled with the progress DH is making. Especially since he is so NOT into chicken keeping! I'm still working on the playhouse/coop in the basement (painting, etc) but he has their run mostly up!

Sure will cut the "view" across the alley! Aren't DH's wonderful!

Much progress was made while I was at work this afternoon. Including Mr Mojo Beans deciding to help. At least he has finally quit yipping at the chickies!

Haven't gotten too far with the cookies though - does pizza count?

What kind of sun exposure will they get in the run?

The run and (future) coop face east. The coop has windows on east and south sides. Once the sun clears our house the yard has sun till late afternoon. May have to put up a bit of shade cloth in the summer, but they should have good exposure for the winter.

DH would probably "rent out" for free - but it's like pulling teeth sometimes to get things done here.

He did ask why we couldn't just use "regular poulty netting". I blamed it on BYC.

How tall is the chicken run?

Right at 6ft high. The offset is to match the upright sections of the coop/playhouse that is still in the basement. One of these days I need to get busy!
