Ever since I started with chickens, I've been all about some Bantams.
I have a bunch of them now, and a few months ago, I finally got some Silkies.
They were all grown, so they're not super friendly, but they'll come to food.
Now I have a 5 week old baby Silkie, and it's my goal is make it super friendly! lol

I'm going to start trying to spend time with it, of course, with lots of yummy treats.
And do whatever I can to make it friendly.

So do you have any suggestions?

I've tamed chicks before, but I really want this to be "the one."
I sure hope some TLC will help it to like me...

My Poland bantams did the same thing when they were small (there's some nice pictures of them on yesterday's blog http://muckycluckers.blogspot.com/ ). They still don't mind being picked up and cuddled. It's funny that even within the same breed, some chickens are friendlier than others. On of our Araucana bantams doesn't mind the attention she gets from us, the other really doesn't like it at all.

Enjoy your little Silkie.
