I'm so proud!!

I have heard a lot of peole saying that they have horrible trouble with their first hatch. That they have a large number not even develope, especially with shipped eggs. I ordered 12 crested duck eggs from a woman on ebay and 6 turken eggs from tamsflock here on BYC. The woman with the crested pekins said she had a 75% hatch rate. Well my ducks are on day 9 and the turkens are on day 7. I have 6 duckies developing! and 3 turkens for sure! I'm so proud of myself! I dont think thats too bad for my first time with hatching eggs! yay me!

Congrats!

I don't know of it being with the 1st hatch, but everytime I had eggs (not me, the chicken) There is always at least a couple that don't hatch...

My first hatch was.. well.. weird. lol.
I had 21 eggs in, all developed and where alive on day 16 but then there was a temp spike and all ended up dying except 3.
Tell me about bad luck!
