IM so sick of Craigslist:-(

I gladly drove two hours one way to pickup what started out being two chickens (ok started with a bantam, then she offered me a roo). When I finally left her house, I drove off with the roo, two standard hens and three bantam hens.

I have driven a long way to get the birds I wanted. I'd ask myself this question, too: What if you drive all the way to meet someone, and they don't show up?

My extras usually go to family or friends, but the times I advertised on craigslist, I had the people come and get them.
LOL and I agree, driving to GET birds or eggs is a whole other proposition!

I posted 2 roos on CL last spring and had a couple drive over an hour each way to pick them up. I put in the ad I wanted $5. each or both for $8. (they were EE/Spangled Russian Orloff mixes) but after the couple got here and we talked with them for over an hour (they were really nice) I just gave them the roos for free. I had really only posted a price to make sure that the buyer was serious about getting them.

We use craigslist a lot and have had pretty good luck so far. We had a few not show up, but not a bad experience so far. I just sold my 11 Aussie babies for $60 and they drove a little over an hour to get here.

And the little boy is looking a for White Silkie Hen if anyone has one for sale.

I drove a 4 hour round trip to pick up my Lavender pair from Bren.
