IM so sick of Craigslist:-(

I drove 24 miles to meet someone halfway. I got $30 for 4 silkie chicks. It took an hour RT and 3 gals of gas. I left the car running waiting for them to show. Didn't want the little guys getting cold.
Now I'm trying to sell the marans I hatched, but everyone wants pullets only. I would rather sell a breeding pair or at least a trio. I'm not sure what to do. I don't want too many roosters. I'm not even 100% sure I have them sexed right.

What gets me is the spammers. They answer my ad as if they have interest but when you respond they direct you to something that has absolutely nothing to do with chickens. I've got hatching eggs for sale but haven't had a lot of interest yet.

Sure I'll deliver- for $1 a mile plus the price of the birds. If the birds are free they have to pick them up here or meet me on my way if I am going somewhere. Getting hosed? Homey don't play that. Not anymore.

I myself have made 8 hour round trips for hatching eggs.
I have had decent luck from our craiglist with people driving nearly 100 miles
to buy and pick up baby chicks. What I can't understand is
people who drive that far to buy just 2-3 baby chicks. My prices
are slightly higher than some of the ffed stores they pass to get
to me, but I think mine are better chicks and chickens.
