They do this alot in our local free classifieds. I think the person transcribing from the phone messages doesn't have a clue about many things and often comes up with some very inventive "guesses" at what the items for sale actually are!

I regularly get laughs from our local classifieds. One ad selling some church furnishings was offering a "pull pit" (anyone up for taffy making?)and some "altereds", another offered a dog that had "rabbi tags" (guess it was preferably to go to a nice Jewish home), etc. Our local paper is definitely a rich source of amusement!
