Looking at the tail and watching personality/ actions, I'm starting to think the wife is right about this one possibly being a cockerel.... just no real comb..... bought at local feed store as an EE as a chick still all in down on March 1st.

Last 3 pics are from april 28th, the others may 10th

Your chick looks like a hen to me even with the tail! EE hens usually have a pointy long tail like a rooster and an active personality,it can be misleading but I'm not seeing any rooster feathering on yours and her comb looks still small and yellow.She is very pretty I love her barring and her colors reminds me of some of my hens that look similar.:) iphone pics 010.JPG
