Well, I have a single Blue Copper Marans chick, and I thought it was a pullet until today. She/He is exactly nine weeks old. She stands like a pullet, behave like a cockerel, and her crest is bigger than her mother's was at 9 weeks and smaller than her father's was. For some reason, my marans are extremely slow feathering; all these photos are exactly 9 weeks. The first batch is the unknown chick, the second batch are her parents when they were chicks.

Now the following photos are her parents when they were nine weeks (these are from November). I have only the one rooster, and of the two females I believe the one with more copper on her neck is the mother. These are just for comparison showing how the crest on the unknown one above is in between her parents. I need someone with more experience with this breed to give me advice. Thanks!
