I found this new outlet store that just opened and it had a ton of books really cheap. I bought about $20 worth of books and when I got back I realized I bought two of the same books, with different covers. So now I have to go all the way back there before the end of the semester to return the book for $3.99! LOL At least I can choose out a different book though.

I did similar last year at Christmas.. My daughter collects the little petshop toys - I bought her a small set with 3 animals in it. A Little while later I was shopping for my neices - and thought she may also like some little animal playsets- I bought a set for her and a matching set for my daughter... When starting to wrap presents for christmas- I found three of the same set !!! Its still sitting up the top of my closet waiting for a birthday or some other reason to wrap it up.

I sure hope you enjoy reading the book though...You must have thought it was a good one since you got two copies.!!

I think every bibliophile does this at one time or another. I've bought two copies of the same book that both had the same cover. First one I bought and read then about two years later I came across a book that sounded like it would be good so I bought it. Started reading it over lunch and realized I'd already read the story! Went home and found the first copy. Yep. Already read it. The very same edition with the same cover two years earlier.

I don't get to read as much as I once did so this hasn't been a problem for a long time now.

I'll probably just end up keeping the second book and giving it away. Problem is I don't know too many people into the same type of genre as me! Most of my friends are VERY picky about the books that they read. I could always donate it to the library too, I suppose!
