I'm taking a break for a while....

I stay in my own bubble too,..and someone is always trying to burst it!
Seriously, I learned a good while ago that it is better to tune out. Too much can cause overload.

I have pretty much quit reading the daily paper, and watching the news as well. I will catch up every few days, but it's all sad, people hurting others. Now mind you, I am 53 years old and always followed the news, and I am generally a happy person. But it has come to too much sadness, and even the happy stories are disappointing, because so often it's quite sugary.

So, for now I hide in my bubble, too. I know it will change eventually, but for now I need the refuge. This is a troubled world we live in- but it is up to us to be kind, and try to make a difference!

my mom has been boycotting the news for a long time. not really because it makes her sad, but because she usually ends up yelling at the stupid people on tv. i dont really watch the news either.

good news, umm...you, me, and BYC are all here safe and sound.

(sorry, that was the best i could come up with in general.)
i know! go read the gratitude thread!

Stick to watching CTV!

I don't have TV, don't listen to news on the radio and I never read news stories online....

I like my happiness bubble also, folks! I kick back and watch Chicken TV and the world slips away. Prayer helps tremendously. Concentrating on happy things, happy books or songs, play some games with the kids or dogs, look at beautiful things that God made.....

All these things bring me joy and I am definitely a joy seeker!
