When you're shipping eggs it's best to send eggs not more than 3 or 4 days old. If you only have one hen you're not going to be able to send very many eggs as a prize.

I would send a half a dozen at least, shipping eggs is risky so the more you send the more chance the winner has at getting a chick or 2
