I'm a Frazier Park,CA transplant to Ohio. You could contact the CA department of Fish and Game. Fresno Office (559-243-4005) The restrictions in Ca about wild birds and animals are pretty tough. Without a rehabbers permit or special permits you cannot keep a wild animal. We ran into problems about a chipmunk we rescued from our cat. Check before you do anything. They don't have an office in Bakersfield.

As far as I'm concerned he doesn't have a permit. Oh well

I'm too afraid to catch one anyways in fear that it wil bite me and it wil hurt.
