Drumstick Diva....Can I put her back in the coop tonight and just take out the nesting box so there is nothing but a dirt bottom with a perch, do you think that might work, being the nesting box is gone there's nothing for her to sit in?

No - she doesn't need a nest or eggs. You could put "broody busting," in the search box for suggestions. It doesn't involve hurting her in any way.

Rabbit cages are great for breaking broodies if you aren't wanting it to be broody. Make sure the squares on the cage aren't too big. Water, food of course. Keep her in there for three days, see how she is after that, if she still goes to a nest..three more day. The coolness underneath her chest can help change her mind. I'll see if I can find a photo.
