I was working on my laptop today with my back to the door. Imagine seeing this when I turned around. Apparently, my cats had managed to open a sliding glass door. My girls decided to silently creep in and sit with the head chook. They absolutely knew what they were doing, since I didn't hear a thing.

L-R Opal, Gertrude, Mildred with Rhettie in the back.

Gertrude is the instigator of all manner of poultry mayhem.

Opal is the lowest in the pecking order, but seems to be the protector of the flock.

These chooks don't put up with anything, especially from our cats. Do you think chickens can be trained as attack poultry? BWAAACK, take that you vile burglar!

There is a youtube video with a serama that fetches , plus which he is wearing a diaper, which makes it even cuter. I think it's called "Phillip fetches." It's really cute

Awww...they love you. They feel content to be near you, and consider you part of their flock. Very cute.

We have a cochin that started to run along the run while the dog was playing fetch outside today. she would run full speed and go head first into the fence trying to get our dog. so funny. dont worry, shes o.k.
