I have a year old easter egger with a impacted crop. It is abut the size of a tennis ball :( I have isolated her with only water for 24hrs and massaging crop 3 times a day with little difference. Today I gave her pureed pumpkin mixed with plain yogurt and scrambled egg. She wouldn't eat it until I sprinked a touch of feed on top. She is acting normal but this impaction has me very concerned . What else can I do for her ? A vet visit is not an option unfortunately but she is one of my sweetest girls and would hate to loose her 💗

When are you checking her crop? First thing in the morning before she's had anything to eat/drink right?

Is she pooping? What's that like?

I would give coconut oil, massage. Let her have water and a some wet feed. Read the article below including comments.

Yes checking first thing in the morning ... she is pooping small amounts and it is solid . No diarrhea. So some food must be getting through. I still have her isolating away from food and give her the combo I mentioned above throughout the day. I will add coconut oil today as the vegetable oil yesterday did loosen it a bit
