My 4 year old chicken, Rona, has been sick for about a week. Her comb was fading and falling over and her crop was very enlarged (about the size of an orange). It was firm and sloshy. Her poop was very watery with some bright green. I brought her inside and put her on water only and some oil olive and massaged her crop regularly. I gradually added in soft foods (food mush, Greek yogurt, watermelon) and 2 doses of colace. She began pooping out more seed, etc. but still very watery. The crop now is much smaller (maybe the size of a ping pong ball) but it is still firm. I’ve continued to massage but she is now not eating/drinking/pooping much and she has lost about a pound this week. I have been able to get some mush, yogurt and electrolytes down her with a syringe the last two days. She is now very lethargic. Is there anything more I can do to help her?
