Imperfectly perfect chicken contest ( no prizes) Ends 7/30/2021

This is my sister’s cream legbar hen, Henri (Henrietta). Henri is almost a year old a lays bright blue eggs! She is also a special chicken! When we got her she would just sleep. She acted like a newborn chick and was delayed the whole rest of her life! She didn’t start scratching or dust bathing until she was like 5 months! She wouldn’t even go outside until she was about 4 months old!😂 She is still delayed for somethings. She also has a bad eye! It’s all squinty (and has been since birth) but has gotten better than it used to be! Here are some pictures of our Henri!

Do Cornish X on a diet count as special needs? Lol!
I'm guessing not, but this seems like a fun contest! I'm following along to see who enters. :pop
I am familiar with your thread to help your two cornish cross pullets live as long and normal a life as possible. With your goals, i definitely think they qualify under special needs. I say enter them and post their pictures!

This is my Buff Orpington Daisy. She is 2 years old. She may not be a perfect chicken, feathers falling out of her, limps from a recent foot injury, clucks funny, can't see very well in left eye, and many more abnormalities, but I love her!

This is Matilda, a 5 year old Cuckoo Marans that lost her feet to frostbite this past winter. Healing and recovery are ongoing, & she has recently been spending more time outside with her flock.

The photo below was taken this past May. At that time she had lost her left foot, but her necrotic right foot was still attached. I started taking her with me on errands about town to help alleviate her monotony, & invited people to interact with her Matilda never once tried to escape her basket, and was perfectly calm & willing to let both kids and adults touch and pet her. People commented on how calm she is, & how soft her feathers are. Matilda is a very sweet and gentle chicken
