Implementing Diotomacious Earth

Hello, I am curious about how to implement food grade Diatomacious earth into my chickens diet. It is very fine and I don't k ow whether to put it in their crumble, make a mash with it, or feed it as a "side dish". It is rich with calcium which the need, so any advice would help. Thank you!

Oyster shell is the best Ca supplement, not DE. It should be fed in a side dish, so the laying hens eat what they need. Mary
