Important about lockdown

Do I need to do lockdown or can I just not do it because for some reason when I candled my eggs some were younger than others that's y
 
And how come when I candled them some were younger than others like 4/17 of them were day 10 embroyos

Some of your eggs may have stopped developing at a certain point and died. Are you certain the less developed eggs are still alive? Do you still see movement that is not caused by you holding and moving the egg? It is slightly possible some are less developed if you have a still air incubator and they were in cold spots, but it is much more likely that they are quitters.

As the link will tell you, shrink wrap is when the membrane dries out and shrinks around the chick, rendering it unable to hatch. This can happen extremely quickly, in a matter of minutes. If you open the lid the wet air will go out and be replaced by dry air, which can suck the moisture right out of an egg, even if you open it quickly. If you open it for the 4, you risk accidently killing the other 13 of them. For the good of the majority, lockdown at once.
