As you know i am hatching a muscovy duck egg, Muscovies hatch at about 35 days.... I finally bought a thermometer.... We are now at day 23...... I am using a 40 watt incandescent ligh bulb....... OmYGoD...... I was shocked to see that my temperature was so high like omygod....... The reading says 40.6 degrees celcius, when i use my air conditioner it goes down to 39.3 degrees celcius....... The case is that, I THINK THAT THE DUCKLING IS GOING TO HATCH REAL SOON...... I did not have any thermometer before so i am manually sensing the heat of the egg.. The egg moves, rocks and shakes very active and violently inside my homemade incubator.... Is it going to hatch early? If it will, then it would be 12 days early? The duckling already occupied all the space inside the egg, but i can still see some veins..... What could be happening........ I am also talking to the egg, i already named it, Goolagoo, When i call it's name it also responds by moving and shaking, so it does hear me?

I don't actually know your situation.

Where did you get it, and how do you know how far along it is? Could it have been incubated for 2 weeks before you got it?

Are you sure it's not shaking because of something the incubator is doing?

No, i incubated the egg myself, you could go back to my old thread, "Am i able to incubate a muscovy duck egg?" There you can read the whole full story!

Summary:
I had a muscovy hen, laid scattered eggs anywhere, i found her two eggs and kept to incubate it. All of a sudden my muscovy hen went missing, that was also the time my Muscovy drake died too, the other egg was a dud so i had to toss it. So one duck egg is left unto me. Midway through incubation she went back, very weak and almost dying, i tried to keep her alive but she died, so i am left with this single egg..... So i am expecting this to hatch...... At first i even tried to use a leaf incubator, long story short but then i quickly switched with my light bulb still air incubator.....
